Go Up Go Down

Poisonally me thinks they got shucked by a wiley old fartzenwolfen.  They bought into an already owned claim and I think the old boy saw a bunch of tenderfeet and did an El Numbre' on them.  The old fella that has the land next to them has pulled lots of gold out of the territory, I believe he's worth a couple of million.  If I remember the first time they talked to him he said the old coot they were partenered with wasn't to be trusted.  I some how don't think they will be back, they put themselves into hock up to their eyebrows for the season they were there.  I'm don't thinking they could scratch together two nickles toward another.

There is plenty of gold left in Alaska but as the old saying says "you gotta have money to make money" or just be dumb lucky.  if you're doing it as a hobby or a retirement activity fo fun and entertainment then it doesn't take as much in the way of cash to make you happy.  If those guys had stayed in Oregon and eeked out a living they would be a lot happier for it, but they just had to go and STRIKE IT RICH, dumb, dumb, dumb,

The guys were looking at some other property at the last of the season. Don't know if they had finances to do anything though.

It looks like those guys went at it the wrong way. There was talk about rich ground on the  claim, but they didn't even check it out before making a huge investment. Huh?
A bit of testing the ground before pulling out all the big equipment could have been a good move.
