Hello
This weekend is the Baker City Mining Jubilee and will be going over that way. I would like to find some areas that would be good for Detecting in the near by area.. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks
A.C.

Hello . I remember reading about many ghost towns by Sumpter , Oregon , close to Baker .  I drove by Baker several times but never stopped "Yet" , cutting through to Eastern Washington from Nevada . This area might also be a great place to live and Prospect/Metal Detect . Let us know how you do there . Best of Luck .

While you are at the Jubilee be sure to check out the clubs that attend. Clubs are inexpensive and provide good access to local claims, as well as a wealth of information from very experienced local miners who know a lot about the history.

Peace

Sean

Hi
Thanks and I will be checking out some of the Prospecting club that will be at the Jubilee and hope to cross paths with some one who will give me some good sense of directions on where to do some nugget shooting.  I know there is allot of  dredge tailing's on the streams and  Cracker City where  a considerable amount of yellow has been found. Will give you a report when I return.
Best of hunting
A.C.
