My partners and I just bought a gold mine in Zambia and we are trying to find the best detector for alluvial gold.

Define Alluvial  Eluvial Gold!    What size gold?

Powder?  Sub Grain chuncks?  Grain Chunks? Larger? Shocked

Heavier than powder, more like grain. Unprocessed from the river it is 81% pure gold.

Set up a sluice and catch everything, v matting first 2 feet then riffles spaced 1 an 1/2 inches apart, with v matting between riffles, catch everything.  You should also take a look at the Whites MXT or MXT Pro they are both extremely hot on finding gold even small flakes.

The Fisher GoldBug as homie says runs at around 71khz is the detector that can see the smallest specks of gold, next to that you then have the White's GMT Goldmaster which now runs at 48khz and the White's GMZ runs at 50Khz,
The older White's GMT's use to run at 50Khz. and thats about it for the Kings of the Specs after that you have to pan everything, hope this helps,

The GMT is the easiest machine to use and the battery life is over 50 hours (more like 60), so just check em out and see which one suits your needs
