In Arizona you need to be aware of the location your going to The state has a wide range of elevation and weather. Northern AZ is good in the spring, summer, and fall. But this is mostly in the higher elevations where the hot weather is not so pronounced.
Lower elevation gets too hot in the summer months so best time is spring and fall.
We have what are called the "monsoons". Drenching rains in summer from late June to first part of August. After a good rain its nugget hunting time. Always be aware of the weather. A flash flood can wipe you out easily, even one that is far away.
Southern AZ you can go all the time. Just know the weather conditions. The desert can get very cold in the evening and night. Higher elevations in southern AZ get some snow in winter.
