i havent actually used one myself, but i have seen one being demo'd.  i plan to buy one pretty soon based on what i saw.  if it works half as good for me as it did for the fellow showing it off, i'll be tickled. i dont know if you've seen the videos on youtube or not, but the guy on there feeds his a good bit faster than the guy i saw up close.  the one i saw was actually at the creek in tellico plains, tn being fed with fresh sluiced cons though. (most of the gold is pretty fine around here)  probably not much help to you, but thats my 2 cents worth.

I have had one for one season so far and it seems to work very well. it is mostly a matter of getting the flow and angle right for the size you are looking for. The less angle the finer the gold but also other heavies. I run it on more of an angle to get most of the the big stuff out of the way then rerun the cons at less of an angle. I hook mine up to a jump box easier to move around then just plug it in to recharge or if at home Just plug it in

I have owned a Fox for two years now. It is a good piece of equipment. The key is to classify, classify, classify. Did I mention Classify? You cannot separate small gold from big rocks. When everything is classified and the same size, then the washing spinning action can take advantage of the specific gravity of gold, and move it up to the catch cup.

I haven't had enough flour gold to test it out, most of what I deal with is Placer Gold. I am sure it would still work,as long as you classify down.  For a less expensive way, there is Tom & Perry's clean up sluice from the GPAA. It is a slower process, but a great machine, just remember to classify, classify, classify.. There is a theme to success here.

I classified about as low as I can go----I ended up taking the screen window off my bedroom and using that, I may have to live with someone though when the wife finds out!!!!!!

Ya know they sell window screen material at home improvement stores pretty reasonable. Then the wife won't be upset with you over a room full of skeeters this summer. Smiley

They generally also sell 1' chunks of expanded metal which also make good classify screens.
