i heard once that gold dust was worth more than nugget.due to the processing part of it. is that true?

In fact, Nuggets carry a premium over Gold Dust.   Good ones can sell way over Spot Gold prices.

Nuggets, depending on the size, are worth more than the spot price of gold. Gold dust for the most part will only get about 80% of spot, assuming you sell it to a broker who then sells it to a refinery. 80% is actually pretty high but a good number to look for. Nuggets are actually incredibly rare, and that is why they pull a premium price despite being less pure than fine gold. The finer the gold, the more pure the gold. Hope that helps.
