A Great new Topic !! Here I will post links and Educational information on how Gold is formed in the earth  and where it can be found . A few years ago I read that the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range is a New Mountain range and that the tremendous pressure related to the formation of the Sierras , is also related to the Huge Gold Finds over the years !! Here is a Great PDF Folder explaining a little about "The Sierras and Gold"  under the earth  ..............Everyone is welcome to contribute to this topic here ! Because this knowledge of the earth may help us get closer to a potential "Motherlode" . And I believe many still exist on earth , in both hidden places not yet explored , or in places we explored before  and have not been able to detect it !!.........I will post more links later on ...............Regards.............Eugene52

It would be nice to post this topic under a "Geophysics Heading" . And also other members can post a "New Thread" or topic  called  " GOLD  found "the Geological conditions were " , which can talk about the Terrain in general , Land or Water area , elevation and or Depth or similarities surrounding the Gold or Find . The exact GPS location is private and not Required !!...............This can become a huge topic , with a just little bit posted from everybody ..This will help a lot of Thunting.com members, including me become more efficient in remote areas of mountains or rivers to know what to look for and not waste time .........

Like I do !!! .........If no one starts this topic I will , later on ...........Regards...........Eugene52..

Pan Your Own Gold For Free, Near Los Angeles California

Here is a article I saw yesterday on a S Korea site about a placer area located 30 miles N of Azuza. Upstream along the San Gabriel River, from the Camp Williams trailer park.  Smiley

Your post just reminded me of this. It is probably not what you had in mind, but I thought I would share it anyway. I do not know if travel agency put it out or what. You have to stop the page from loading or article flashes off.

Stuff like this is what I love to read , especially when there are real pictures instead of Fuzzy drawings . On this topic here , I am trying to find more on surface Geology or ground conditions where gold is found . So any Thunting.com member that wants to share about the "Ground Conditions" where they found gold , Land or Water Please post it here............Thank-You..........Eugene52

Here is a pretty good link that some of us may not have seen yet:

This is a very informative file discussing both Gold and Silver !!...No wonder there is so much pollution of chemicals when trying to separate a few grams of gold for each thousand pounds of dirt !!.........I guess it is better to research about surface Geology related to Gold panning in Rivers or streams !!.............Regards.............Eugene52
