I was wondering if anyone knew if U.S. citizens could hobby prospect in Canada and if so how much native gold are you allowed to bring back into the U.S.? I was thinking of going international in my search for the best gold before the price drops or the economy bounces back and I can get a decent paying real job again. Kind of happy about this depression so far, finally got nothing better to do than the things I only dreamed about before.

The dark cloud has a silver lining. Or is that a gold lining?

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Gold, silver, platinum and more. Found an Indian War era Union buckle at an old house built back in the 1770's in Pennsylvania that a freind of mine sold. I'll try to post some pictures when I get a digital camera. Native platinum and the higher content ores are rare here in the east but I have some leads on some potential minerals in certain areas that contain varying amounts of it as an impurity. Know one knows much about silver ore around here except its rare, but that there are stories of some secret mines very rich in the stuff. Today people probably walk and drive past road cuts here and there loaded with the stuff and big junks just laying on the ground already weathered free just waiting for some one to pull over and collect them. This cloud could have a silver lineing yet, but yeah I feel better than ever despite being broke most of the time.
