I see Harbor Freight has their little portable scale on sale for $9.99 usually $15.00. I have one for my nugget finding. It works great. Good to 0.1 gm, max = 1000 gm.  Great

Look on fleabay for pocket scales. you can get a nice, accurate scale straight from china for like $5. There is a trick.

Search- Pocket Scale .01
Refine to- Buy It Now only
List order- Lowest plus shipping to highest

1000 grams is a lot of AU. I opted for a smaller amount, but more accurate. Mine is 200 gram max. capacity with .01 gram incriments. Two hundred grams is in the range of 6 ozt.
