It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Thanks GD,
I was a member several years ago then let my membership expire because I was not doing any treasure hunting. I re-joined last year.

My question is; have you heard anything about dredging restrictions getting tighter?

I have heard that some states (especially Ca) are trying to pass legislation to stop recreational dredging.

I have a small dredge and am hoping to be able to use it this summer.

Lots of us GPAA members here.   And the dredging restrictions depend upon what state you're in, although they all seem to be getting stricter (and that don't have nothing to do with the GPAA except to say the nuts and berries group has a more powerful lobby than the recreational miner, even with GPAA leading theway).

Will be ordering my first membership Friday. Woo Hoo! Not too sure about the dredging, but I do know that the states that still allow it are requiring permits and only up to 5" max hose size. Indiana is still dredge friendly with a permit. That's where I'll be trying my luck some this summer. Still have to apply for my permit, but I'm getting ready. Where are you George?

I need to join. I love the magazine, but never seem to be able to fork out the cash when the time comes (I just spent it all on a drysuit  Grin )

I have plenty of access in Washington and Idaho, however I would like to visit AZ, NM, NV, and CA at some point for gold. If nothing else to just play around with the dry washer and metal detector.

Cheers

Sean

Gotta have the gear bro. My nephew is actually buying my first membership. He's such a great guy, more like a little brother than a nephew.  Grin

Gear is good, especially when the water is frigid year around. I can't wait to test it out... probably do that this weekend.
