That would probably be the premier spot. But places like Rodeo Drive might also be a good spot.

Antwerp is a bit far from me at the moment, but I like your thinking Ghola. I checked out some local jewllers shops today. Not sure if they do much work there, light was fading and I didn't want to be seen scooping up muck outa the gutters!! Will have to do an after dark night op.

For day jobs a fluro vest and dust pan and brush could be good. So as to look like a reguler street sweeper.
Im looking at public places at the moment. I had a diamond shop I was thinking to scope out, think that could be a private parking lot.

They could probably count the pimples on a teenagers face. But that being said public land. I don't know what kind of laws they have on "treasure". I wonder how many diamonds have been found in taxi cabs going from and to the airport. Got to get one good look before ya board the plane. Even local cafes, not all deals are handled in a secure local. I would not doubt there are plenty of what's called "pocket dealers" around there. I wonder how much Stepanian finds is from dealers dropping them or broken jewelery. The Tiger eye stone in the picture is probably broken off. The other stuff don't know.

Have a friend who's a coin pocket dealer. Always has a few coins in his pocket. One time saw him at a local shopping center, He was going to meet some one at a cafe. Showed me about $50,000 worth in 3 coins and a rolex diamond bezel he was trying to sell.
