Older machine for sure, but could be a bargain for someone!

Would these work in mineralized soil?  I live in a volcano area.  TIA.

The manual is here:

I scanned the manual. The machine doesn't seem to have ground balancing so the answer is complicated. You could use it but you'd have to compensate for the mineralization without the benefit of ground balancing. It can be done but you need to learn the machine quite well. You'd be better off with a more modern machine but make sure it has tunable ground balancing.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Ok, thanks, would a Whites 6000 DI Pro work or a M6?  Thanks again.

Did you see my answer to you? I already answered your question. Any modern machine that has adjustable or tunable ground balance will work in your area. I'm not going to make the choice for you. You asked for advice and got it. Do some research on what appeals to you and whatever it is, make sure it has GROUND BALANCING capabilities. GROUND BALANCING will allow you to work in mineralized soil.

It happens to us all, mate. Sometimes it's a little too much of the grog, and other times it's a pretty girl passing by outside my window. And sometimes it's my bride calling me from the other room.

So she can smack me for looking at the pretty girls. My head hurts.
