Go Up Go Down

Geared up for the weekend, rain coat and all... it's gonna be a rainy one. This is the first Memorial Day Weekend I have had off since I started in health care over five years ago. Also this is the first weekend out with my new trommel. After working 60 hours and 6 days a week I am ready for a long weekend. I was hoping to play in my own home state, but the laws here send me into Idaho. I found this pay-to-play operation out of Murray, Idaho in the Couer d' lene Nat'l forest. The guy who owns the property has nine campsites and a mining shop there. Not bad on the price either, I get a spot for $20 for the entire weekend. Now where else can you even pitch a tent for three days and get charged less than that... and be able to play at will with all the shovels buckets and GAS POWERED PUMPS!? BOO YA! Here are a couple pics of my toy... courtesy of Summit Mining out of Boise, ID.

Peace

Sean

Hey Sean,

Looks like you are seriously geared up! 20$ doesn't sound bad at all, the state campgrounds cost more than that. Let me know how you fair, I might have to venture north. I always wanted to check out that area but never quite get that far.

Good hunting!  Smiley

I will definitely give a report on the campsite. I am hoping it is somewhere cozy enough to take my folks so that they can get out. I also might try some detecting out there... lots of 2+ ozt. nuggets have been found in the Murray area.

Peace

Sean
