They look like Dragon slayers to me. Grin I have an 18" handle cast iron one that works well. Looking to get one with a bit longer handle, but not any heavier.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

T6 Aluminum makes a good handle.  Stiff, Strong and light.   Mine just had a cup welded on the spring steel and a bolt together.

Mine has a slightly blunt point for using in old trash dumps. Wouldn't want to spear a coin or old token or anything valuable.
Thanks for the handle tip Homie. Maybe I'll just replace the handle on the one I got.

Dusty Carl

RR,
Didn't realize it would be that hard to find a pick over there for ya mate. What do you plan digging with them?

Happy digging ol chap. Hope your pick gets stuck in a nugget so big that you have to pick it up with a crane.

Yo Dusty, I bought a pick axe handle and cut it down to 25" and shave it smaller with A small hand Plane and I made it fit perfect and tight then I stuck it in there with some of that Gorilla Glue and Put A Screw in the side and it's perfect Now, the Handle is a might thick but That will Lessen the Shock when the going gets Tough,
