I have been watching the flooding in California, seems that after all is said and done there should me a lot of new gold in the area

Yep!   It could replenish or Dislodge some gold.

At worst I bet it opens up some bed rock to expose the goods.

Playing in some of the mudslide areas may be interesting, but obviously the best bet will be in the stream channels themselves. Too bad nobody can pull a profit mining in CA because of their lame ass laws. The entire west will be having some great opportunities arise as the spring floods should be pretty intense this year.

In my area not much dirt has been moving but if it keeps raining it might be a good year. It takes major flood to re-concentrate the gold.
