Time to head to the Dakotas. It's covered in the picture & the unveiling isn't until Thursday, but it's a "2-? inch by 1-1/2 inch by 1 inch" nugget.

To borrow a phrase from Crocodile Dundee, "You call that a nugget? This, is a nugget!"

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Oh, absolutely! The big nuggets down here are still being found occasionally. I recently read about a 9 ounce nugget from Victoria. Sweet!

What is amazing is that they are just below the surface I am always hearing. I can't even imagine. Here you have to dig halfway to the core it seems sometimes!

hmmm, maybe we should all move to Australia.   It would be nice to live someplace where I can stub my toe on a nugget large enough to set me up for life just getting out of my truck in my usual klutzy way.   Funny

Thanks Jones you just proved my theory that dark is heaver then light.                                            Dark is heavier than light. If you were to swim just below the surface of the lake, you would see a lot of light. If you were to slowly swim deeper and deeper, you would notice it getting darker and darker. When you get really deep, you would be in total darkness. This is because the heavier dark sinks to the bottom of the lake and the lighter light floats at the top. The is why it is called light.
