That's a pretty neat idea. Instead of the usual fixed pontoons- they created a roller type pontoon that makes it easy to move. Kind of wish i had one like that when I was dredging out in Arizona. Great idea although it might not work in some areas due to boulders on the banks,etc.

Not sure, but I think he used boat fenders for the floats. The kind with the rope hole through the center. Even in rough areas it probably would help some, especially when the machine is hung in low water on rocks when fully loaded.
