I have been developing prospecting agreements with farmers to several streams in Wales.
So far the amounts I have found in these streams are typically small. However, with experienced detectorists involved it may be possible to locate hardrock seams in fields next to the streams. I only possess a Goldmax, but would anyone like to get involved who has an advanced Minelab pulse type detector?
I am planning a week long trip next week, if the weather is kind, I may cover several new streams. Any interest here?

Happy new year to you too Dennis
Just about to set off in the dawn here. Looks like I'll be on my own till I get to river 3 on my trip, where some friends are waiting to prospect a stream on New Year's day. Two gas bottles for the trip loaded up and lots of waterproofs, three sluices, new arm length rubber gloves etc. What great fun we will have in 2012.
Hope you get some golden diggin's in yourself too.

Well right now, 10:27 PM PST the wind is a blowin' a gale and pushin' the rain ahead of it. It's been raining for several days so I'm a betin' the rivers are up and flowin' real strong. The winter storms will come in one after the other until about March with an occasional sunny day slipped in. So I reckon prospecting will have to slip to the back burner until May when the rivers levels will start coming down.

Do take care and hope you come up with a good batch of the shiny yella stuff.

Thanks for the good wishes, which gives me good heart. I found two new streams in early January, before the frost came down, then I headed for my winter quarters to repair equipment and build a new sluice. I'm eager to get out in early March, three more new streams to prospect, then decide which ones to concentrate on in April - October.

Are you out and about in the hills yet?

I've been busy in the hills, infrequent access to a computer until now.

I have made some really good connections, influential people supporting me.
