Am taking a break from panning today...and reading about gold pans instead.

The article is by no means comprehensive, but is a fun read. Kelava's spiral gold pan bears a strong resemblance to the Turbopan!

Searching around for the origins of the batea (on which my Batpan is based on), I came accross a company selling actual bateas:

Looks very efficient. Expensive for the pan and grizzly. Maybe made from SS.
