Go Up Go Down

I'm thinking that I've seen some before in either a "Walden's" books or a "readmore" books if those are around your area.  Also you may want to check with your local bookstores or even newstand and see if they would be willing to get a particular treasure hunting magazine for you.  Some are happy to and some are not willing to go very far out of their way for the customer but for what the issue costs them and what they sell it for they're still making money I'd say.  Another thing to keep in mind is that with a subscription if you would go that route is that you get the magazine alot of times for around half off the cover price and then it comes right to you...no looking at all the stores hoping to get an issue.

Also there are many treasure hunting magazines to choose from a Google search should show you quite a few.  I hear western & Eastern treasure is a pretty good one but have not read many of them myself.  I'm partial to Lost Treasure magazine myself.  Some of these magazines sites you can read some articles right there and even get a feel for whether or not you would like that particular publisher.    Go down the list until you find one that catches your eye.  They all have very good information I'm sure.

One other option for you if you're comfortable with that sort of thing is to check ebay.  Some people sell the back issues and there have been many times that i have seen new subscriptions on there selling very cheap usually 10 to 15$ a year if i remember right.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Go Up Go Down

Covers all aspects of treasure hunting in a sense from the "coinshooter" that just goes to the local park down the road to how to research that big lost treasure lead that you may have.  Magazine covers different things like state treasure tales, field tests, modern prospecting, Q&A, classifieds, calender of events, treasure in the news or no longer lost as well as many other items.   The magazine covers at least to some extent relic hunting, underwater hunting, coin shooting, prospecting, dowsing, cache hunting....bear in mind though that every issue may not mention these every month but I have also seen months basically dedicated solely to relic, water or coin and cache hunting.

Check them out at:

They usually have  a "tip of the day" and other information on their site.  Like i said though see for yourself and decide, I like lost treasure, you may not.

Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear that you were unable to find any bookstores that carried any TH magazines.  Did you ask if they could get any in for you?  The subscription route isn't too bad.  Like i said earlier...you don't have to go out and try to find the current issue then.  It's delivered right to your door or P.O. box.

Good luck with your research on the creeks.
