Go Up Go Down

This post is geared mostly to any folks out there that are just getting into the art of Coinshooting. As a matter of fact, even some of you grizzeled vets, could learn a thing or three from this little softcover. I bought this book over twenty five years ago. It has been read and re-read so many times, that most of the pages are held together with clear bookbinding tape and underlined and highlighted in so many places it's hard to find a page that doesn't have any of my markings on. This little bible of mine has been in the field with me many times and wears various battle scars like, bird poop stains, water marks from a heavy rain or two, pine gum and many, many nicks and scrapes and scratches and dog eared page corners. After all this time, I would not sell this book even if you offered me $25 smackers right here, right now for it. Cool

So what's the title of this marvelous little book? Grin It's simply called; Coinshooting - How and where to do it. It's author is none other than Glenn H. Carson, one of the few remaining, old boys of TH'ing. It may be a little hard to find but I can assure you that it would be well worth the effort of anyone interested in finding more lost coins wherever they may live! Glenn has even supplied his readers with a goodly number of pictures to better identify places to hunt and methods of doing things. Carson really has a way of explaining stuff so that nobody is left in the dark about anything. He describes things well enough that a blind man could practically see what he is talking about. A teacher of reality and truths.

So if you're looking for treasure in the written department, get a copy of this fantastic little black book, you'll love it. A little side note... If you are one of those guys that thinks you already know all there is to know about this cool MD'ing skill, you owe it to yourself to read this book to bring you back to reality land. Wink

Yer new TH'ing friend,

LarryB

You're very welcome boys! Glad to be of some use here. Wink Glad to hear it's easy to get now too. Goldfinger, I also have "Cache Hunting", and yes, it is VERY good! There's an old saying, Knowledge is the KEY to success. Reading all you can about your field of TH'ing by the best authors you can find, will definately put you on that road to success in this hobby/biz for sure. Temper that with a few seasons worth of on site experience and there is NO doubt you are going to find more and better stuff. Winter is here guys, so don't be lazy about burying your nose in a good TH'ing book or three over the next few months when you can't swing your magic wand.  Sure beats starin' at the boob tube and it will pay off in cash and jewelry starting next spring... Grin
