Hey there StringFrenzy, Marx IS quite good. Wink Garret authored a few of the TH'ing books in my library and he's real good. My fav, Successful Coin Hunting! Very informative read. Nice to see he's mentioned "the Master" a few times too. Grin

GoldFinger, forgot to thank you in my last post here for your input on Zane Grey, the greatest perhaps, of All Western Writers. Neat little tip you threw in there about the leads you can get from some of those old western tales too. Cool Karl himself mentioned a few times in his writings that he uncovered a number of  caches along the old trails by doing just what you said. Nice! Wink

Budman, It really looks like you know what I'm talkin' about, by your impressive sounding Von Mueller collection. Cool Do you have any of his "Prospectors Gazzetts or however you spell it? I've never even seen one but I've heard so much about them, I'd love to read any part of any of them... :Smiley Stout is also a very good and informative writer as you say. I've read his stuff since I first started reading Western & Eastern Treasures, years ago. Smiley Haven't had the pleasure of reading or for that matter, ever even hearing of R.Hult though. Huh? Ruby, is that as in Ruby the woman TH writer? Pls clarify for this bonehead. Embarrassed

Doctor Detector, I've saved you for last my friend! Cool I'm tickled pink  to think that you are going to look this awesome dude up because of something I said!  Embarrassed Grab whichever one (#6 or #7) you can get, won't matter which. Once you get started on it, you'll hardly be able to put it down. If you never buy or even read another book of any sort again Doc, make one of these your last, you will NOT be sorry, I promise! Wink

Just wondering if you folks have your own favorite Treasure writer you enjoy talking about? ...Personally, my treasure hunting hero, without a doubt for many, many reasons, is none other than Dean Miller, better known as Karl Von Mueller.

How 'bout it boys? Tell us who your favorite Treasure writer is and a little blurb about why you feel that way... Wink

LarryB

Well, sir, I'm NOT one of the boys...but.... Grin
Besides me ALSO being a Von Mueller fan and having some of his stuff, ....

.......and besides me liking my own home cookin'...errrops, writing... Cheesy

.....I gotta tell you about this guy...Joe E Champion.  You want a good read, a particular carribean salvage wreck true life adventure, or more info, INCLUDING THE SUPPORTIVE CHEMSTRY explanations on low energy nuclear transmutation and the fun anyone can have
in a 3# coffee can
with some barren black sands,
a steel tumbler,
a dab of easily accessible chemicals,
and a loooooooooooong match  Shocked
one WILL end up with measurable via assayable gold when they're done.

you GOTTA check out this guy!  He'll make the hair stand up on the back of your necks, male OR female. Grin  I used to chat with him on Silicon Investor website many years ago.

While he sounds alchemy in the finest, his 3# coffee can recipe has been the stuff of High School Science Fair legends.

Should keep an avid TH'er reader busy on a rainy weekend.

I'm like you, Larry...I like to "mark up/highlight" my books too...I will buy .pdf electronic copies of rav favs so I can print'em out, spiral bind'em and grab the highlighter!

Thanks for an interesting thread...COOL!

Megan Rose
