Hi dandequille
The method I use to clean badges is a product called BRASSO and the plenty of elbow grease. Wink Grin Grin

Great collection!! I have over 250 Military buttons and badges that are dug up..most from the UK but some from here in Canada.

Did you find that SAS Badge?Huh??

That 97th is very nice also, I have a few of the ones you have.

My fav is a WW2 British Intelligence Corp badge found near Bletchly Park.

HI Dean
All my badges have been found by me .

The SAS badge was a dream come true for me , my heart missed a beat when that came up  Shocked Smiley

They all came from area's I'd researched. ( not that hard really )
They all were from courting spots ... area's around little woods and spinneys where people used to meet.

Infact I think a few were lost in action . ( know what I mean ) Shocked :Smiley Wink Grin

A lot of people try to give me badges but I'm not interested I only like the one's I find myself.
I know where there from and how they were lost . Smiley

It sounds like you have a great collection Dean, well done.    Barrie

Most of the badges and buttons I have, have been given to me by members of the UKDN as they don't really want them and I use them for displays.
I put on my Towns Nov 11th Rememberance Day display as well as the annual Camp X Display.

Check this out

I also work with schools and other Historical Societies and archives.

If you ever get offered buttons or badges again that you don't want,  PLEASE let me know as I can use them.

I will post some photos of the Camp X event that shows the display I put on there...my friend Frank has them but he's away..when he gets back he will put them on.
