I have enjoyed this forum and decided to sign up. I mainly hunt Civil War artifacts and find coins in the process. Last weekend I found a 1856 Seated Liberty Half Dime my first. Tim

Wecolme...great find..I have a fair size CW relic collection myself..started my relic hunting when I was visiting VA 20 years ago and have been back a few times...lots more virgin places to hunt in NC..got on to a field owned by a friend and found 30 bullets and a few other items in under 20 mins...but the rain came..also found a 20 lbs Parrott round near Wilmington 6 years ago..it sits in my living room.

A good dug collection for someone that lives in Ontario Canada LOL

very nice find!!...can anyone suggest home to go about getting access to areas that are related to the civil war, cpl here in this county but still new to that aspect, and not sure how to go about conatcting whomever i need to to get the permission, i also posted on the forum a question in regards how to write up an agreement to access land privately owned or on public land to cover myself..thanks..gregg
