Wow, had they been fired? A dump from a shooting range perhaps?

It was a back stop for a Canadian Militia target range...must be 1000s more in there.

These are the same types that were used in the US Civil War.
Some of the bullets have iron cores, some have box wood plugs and a couple had clay plugs in the cavity.

It took 2 loads to get the ones I found out of the woods

Interesting find...Enfields were made in about (if I am Correct) about 53 varietys. I have found thousands of
C/W Minnie Balls of all types and have about 12 varietys of enfields that I am aware of...the Most I ever found together were 27 in one hole and they were mised 58 cal union minnies and 56 Cal williams cleaners type 2.
Nice find.......Dondigger

Hey dondigger, I hunted on and off in the US, found a great site in NC and pulled over 30 fired and dropped minies in 20 mins..then the rain came..
I have many differant types of CW rounds...I must have over 100 types as well as many differant Enfield types...hard to keep track!!

Hello Don,

good to see you back online!

You mentioned that you thought the website a bit different to get around. Could you please give me some more details as to what you think could be improved or made simpler? I'm always happy to improve things and therefore appreciate any advice and feedback. Thanks!

Also great finds you got there! Hope to see more of it!

Best wishes,

Christian
