Can you read the hallmarks? If so, can you tell us what they are? If they are images only, perhaps you can photograph them for us.

I believe the 18 means 18 karat gold. The M is probably the ring size. I'd bet the farm that the crown is the manufacturer so you will have to look up gold manufacturers' hallmarks on Google.

I looked up the crown. It's for a ring manufactured in Britain. If it were silver, it would have the crouching lion hallmark. Go here for a brief rundown:

Hi  in my humble opinion,  the ring is British,  the crown denoting that,   the 18  being 18 carat  and the M is probably a date letter for the year of manufacture.   Good hunting......scmiles   Smiley Smiley Smiley
