I found these over the weekend. I am pretty sure that the coin is Roman but its pretty eaten up. You can see a little of the face and on the reverse side it looks like a woman standing up in the middle. These type of coins don't come out of the ground in good condition. The round thing is made of bronze and has a nice patina. It is 2.5cm high and 3 cm across. It looks like a napkin ring! The last item was found close to the coin is made of bronze and unfortunately its broken probably by the farmers plow, I have no idea what it could be.
Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!
Greg

Hi Koolmc

Firstly let me welcome you to the forum all the way from South Africa. The last photo with the broken object looks like a candle holder, there would have been a plate on the short end to place the candle and the long end would have been the handle, at least that's what I think that it was.

All the best
Xavier

Thanks for the warm welcome and your kind comments. I will try to post more of my finds as soon as I can locate something worth posting!!!
I believe that the bronze ring may be a may be a ring that went between the handle and the knife blade. Here is a link to a video on youtube:

Here is a link to a video on youtube:

What he is showing in that video are electrical crimping links in various sizes. Used for splicing wires that are very big. No mystery, just construction debris. Not a knife spacer - too big for that.
