Hello Flower of the Sea
I am just killing some hours, I just got back from being away and in another few days will be off again researching. Searching for shipwrecks can be rewarding but it can also be frustrating and thankless.
Academics view you with utmost suspicion, Marine archeologists just about spit on you. Politicans only want publicity either as to be seen as roasting your ass or if you project is a success they flaunt themselves around for the free publicity. Then the vultures the legal eagles come onto the scene ad milk you for what its worth. That with the prohibitive cost of such a project. It can be lean pickings for the guy that does all the hard work.
If you think it is gong to cost x amount of dollars triple it.
The problem with this shipwreck there is not enough information to warrant the expense. That's not to say if some more diligent research in the archives may bring more information to light may change the viability of the project.
And beside I personally prefer warmer waters
hardluck
