A sword guard, tiny gold pieces, and a coin are among newfound artifacts from a shipwreck off North Carolina. The discoveries add to evidence that the ship belonged to the pirate Blackbeard.

I have no idea if they have more proof but I'm sure that it's in one or other museum. You could do a search on Google never know what you'll fin out.

Hello All

From my some times faulty memory I believe the find was from Barry Clifford who was a ex high school teacher that managed to create a foundation to find and recover the shipwreck of Queen Ann's revenge.

There was a Documentary a few years ago suggesting the possibility that Black beard caused the shipwreck to downsize his pirate crew.

Clifford at time stated that there was going to be a museum devoted to the shipwreck.
