was reading a post the other day 16th century map of Sumatra and saw Cornelius had mentioned Van Keulen maps so did a google search, here are my findings, apologies if these have already been posted - tried to attach 4 maps (jpegs) but it kept timing out so links only

 I think there may have been some claim of it being found some time back. Some guy who had spent about 10 years tracking it down.

  don't think he found it despite what he claims - i think there is a member here who worked with him on trying to locate the frol, i once saw a map of his search location and personally i think he was way off from the documents i've managed to find online regarding its sinking. anyone who has any info regarding the flor de la mar pls jump in a share Great!

If it's who I think you are referring to he had some data which led him to believe the original accounts were wrong. I can't really recall the details as it was a couple years back but seems like it was discussed here if you read through the old stuff.
