Was pretty cool watching the series last year on discovery channel.  Was fun to watch and even the gadget lab they had to make custom parts that were neded on a dive.  Think finding foil is bad?  Imagine finding pine tar instead of the other medical tar.

They've found some great stuff. The $500 million in coins from the 'Black Swan' for one. I think it's Spain that's fighting them for the coins, even though on the show, they said there was no evidence of a wreck where they found the coins. Find something and everyone wants it - it would still be lost had they not recovered it. They also found a brass cannon from the HMS Victory and it was carrying gold coins too. Who knows what more they'll find. Sue

I saw some of the shows. Pretty interesting all the hard work they put into it. I remember them saying those big boats cost 50 grand a day to keep going. Their operation has helped a lot of people with jobs and adventure. Smiley

I must say I enjoyed the series very much, watching all that they recovered. esp, the recovery of the cannons. ( something I have always wanted to find! ) its a shame that when
others go thru all the time and trouble to locate something and find it, that what ever country the ship came from they want to claim all the treasure. In my opinion its been lost for so many years, they did nothing to try and locate it! The find should go to the locaters in this case OME. I do hope that OEM wins there cases in court. Best Wishes....Rob
