Shipwreck in York River may be from Yorktown siege


YORK The Virginia Department of Historic Resources is planning to survey previously undocumented shipwreck in the York River that may be from the Siege at Yorktown. Officials say sonar has recorded ship remains that will be surveyed starting Monday. Circumstantial evidence strongly suggests the shipwreck is associated with the October 1781 siege that decided the Revolutionary War.
