Hello All
Off the coast of Wabassco florida lies a mystery ship.
This wreck has been and probably will always be shrouded in a little bit of a mystery?
It has been alleged a bronze bell with the name Spring of Whitby with the date of manufacture 1801 was found in 60's? Admiralty records show she plied the Baltic trade in the extreme northern Atlantic at least until 1826! The material from the wrecksite, on the other hand, being Spanish silver bust-type coins, indicates a date of sinking of 1824.
Could piracy have been involved or perhaps a shipwreck on top another shipwreck, a mystery vessel indeed?
Hardluck
