Below are photos of two objects found on a Welsh beach. They are quite light for their size - one weighs 52 and other 44 grammes, and they are roughly 4x3 cm. Both were checked by the jewellers and confirmed as silver, although with some impurities. Some time ago on this particular beach it was confirmed that amongst others there was a XVI century shipwreck which was coming back from Spain or Portugal.. I'm trying to date them and my question is to do with those silver objects/bars - do you know of any similar examples of silver coming from the wrecks?

I have seen ingots like the one on the right in Mexico but they weighted 10 or 12 pounds each. 53 grams is less then 2 oz I don't know.
