To those that are familiar with Nigel Pickford's book about "Lost treasure ships of the 20th Century" wherein he says the UK sent 7,600 tons of gold to Canada & the US during the war years,.,.he was correct in this amount,and neglected to say that of that gold,2,200 tons never made it across,due to U-Boats,.,.he also neglects to mention the 16,000 tons of British silver and hundreds of tons of Platignum sent over as well,and the 11.6 Million ounces of silver lost by the US Treasury ,1940-45 from SF and Philadelphia.
With over 43 years of researching  WW II in 94 countries,in all archives one can find,I have a list of the Bank of England transfers that were lost in transit,and in the list is given the  named ships and give locations of their sinking and with what went down with them,such as :
Ship X,went down with 243.5 tons silver,w/- 75 tons gold, @ this location;
Ship Y,went down with 245 tons gold,with 76 tons silver, @ this location;
Ship Z,went down with 50 tons of gold ,@ this location and so on.
I have over 760 ships and locations ,and a ship has an average of 5 tons or 1 ton of gold,or in some cases,300 tons of sovereigns ,or 100 boxes of sovereigns and so on.There are ships with as much as 5 tons of platignum and up to 16 tons of it that were sunk in various parts of the globe ,.,.
I am seeking serious (Very serious,not  tyre kickers) investors that are interested in salvaging some of the so burdened ships;some are in shallow depths,some are in deep areas,.,.,.all are doable today,as the technology is there to do it with,.,..,look at the John Barry and the Persia projects.,,.,.
If you are interested,please contact me here::
tezz5@etelecom.com.au

I shall reply to all queries asap.

Yours
tezz5

I think far more gold crossed the oceans from 1900 to 1945 than we are told about...done in secert and not mentioned when lost.
Just my thoughts.

:Smiley Platinum would be the one to concentrate on, it's at 1200 + an ounce now. I don't believe i'm in the investors corner, but if you need a deckhand, that's me.

I also have a list of WWII bullion ships that were sunk. Almost all of them went down in water over 1000 feet deep. Well beyond diving limits. If it were that easy, others would have found it by now.

Tess5,

     How about the Japs ship/submarine wrecks in Mindanao? Do you know how much they contain?.......I doubt if you have knowledge on it........I'll give you a tip.....you combine all your shipwrecks treasures.....and it is only equivalent to one of several Japs treasure ships...ex: Sakima Maru (the island ship).....bcoz its very large ship...it took one week to burn and sunk in .....(secret).....the treasure load...very very large... Grin
