Yo there admin persons my I suggest in the metal detecting section a subsection for "nugget shooting."  I don't shoot at the present but I do enjoy reading about those who do.  Nugget shooting isn't prospecting as such it's just swinging for that one shiny thing.

I'd classify nugget shooting as prospecting, Gramps. Why else would you do it except to find more gold?

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hi Gramps, sorry for my late reply. I had missed your post. I agree with Ray that it would go under prospecting. I see where you are coming from though and I agee that prospecting will most of the time relate to gold washing but likely is just another term for natural gold hunting - be it througj gold washing or the help of a detector.

Regards,

Christian

Gramps!   Nothing stopping you from starting a Thread on the same to see where it goes!

As a Member of another Forum that does that, we (YOU and I ) know it can take a life of it's own.

Start a thread and see if you can kick up some dust!

I'll be there.

Eugene and I are working on a Back Wash Tesoro 20 Khz detector at this time.

Hit it. Cool
