White's DFX and Garrett American !

Go Up Go Down

This is the "best" website I've ever seen in Treasure Hinting, but it seems so unfriendly to navigate. Someone sends me a message , so I log in and I see their message. There's no place to reply. I get lost trying to find their message somewhere else so I can reply.

Also, where are all the great "stories" I used to see when I came to the site? If I told my grandsons to go to this website to read great treasure stories, there aren't any for them to click on.

Can someone clarify my confusion?

Thanks.

Well Bomber, I went back and looked and the reply box was there (but it wasn't there before...haha). Thanks. Maybe I need lots of time to get used to it.

jm Try this.
When you log on you you see unread post and unread replies, the unread post are post that you  have not replied to and/or new. The unread replies are threads that you have posted in so I go there first to see who I pissed of lately, with my smart mouth.
Under all that is a black bar that has home in it, hit that takes you to the main list of topics and threads.

I am sorry you are having problem navigating the site  it does take awhile getting use to. Our buddy BA will be around in a little while and can explain it much better.

Also the Advanced Search top right can help you find subjects that interest you.

Actually Bomber and Seldom have done a pretty good job of explaining things.  (but if you want more explanation on the search function, I'd suggest clicking on this link

).

Also, one of the things that really helped me learn my way around this site was just spending time on the home page clicking links and seeing where they took me (admittedly, that's probably second nature for me since my day-job requires that I 'certify' new web-sites' compliance with my company's functional requirements).   A few minutes getting used to how things are laid out on the home page does wonders----you get a real feel for HOW MUCH infromation is actually available here and just HOW WIDE a range of interests it covers.

Another Hint: If you are reading a post and you decide to reply, once you've posted your reply, you'll find yourself in the menu for that board.  However, if you read a post on a specific board, but do NOT reply, you need to click on the name of the board (in this case New User Introductions) right before the list of moderators to stay on that specific board.

For the treasure stories just go to the legendary treasures subforum through the forum index. Also use the unread replies links on top of each site or the forum search. To reply to an existing topic just use the quick reply box on bottom of a page or press the reply button.

Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any more questions.

Best wishes,

Christian

When you got your 5th post, many doors were opened that were formerly closed.

At the moment, we have a huge number of new members each introducing themselves. This is probably due to an ownership change and potential loss of another major treasure hunting board in recent days. They're coming here in droves. What that does is create a flood of "I'm new here" messages which seem to dominate this site right now.

Have a bit of patience. The stories are still there, snuggled in among the introductions. They're waiting for your grandson.

I believe you all have given me a vast amount of good information. Golddigger1950 right, I'll learn the site.
Thanks Christian.
BitburgAggie_7377 tip to click on the name of the board seems important. That could be why I ws continually tlooking to find where I was a second ago.
