Dear members,

thinking of ways to help promote our forum I had the idea of using YouTube.

I have noticed that many of the metal detecting & treasure hunting related videos on YouTube have a huge numbers of views.

No imagine some of those would have our forums URL at the beginning or ending - or just permanently on te bottom. This could great help in poromoting our forum.

So if anyone of you has an interesting video, e.g. on a certain metal detector or on some of your finds, maybe you could please upload it to YouTube and add our forums URL?

I really would appreciate your support. Thanks a lot!

Good idea Christian! Since I've gotten on, and setup my ID there I was thinking about that as well. There are several that I've done subscriptions to. Here's just a couple guys that are my favorites: nuggetnoggin and SCdigger. They're out on the east coast (South Carolina area) I believe, and their finds out there are amazing! Lots of silver and even civil war era items too.  Smiley

If you want to expand on this, you can suggest ways that we can insert that weblink onto a video to make it more professional looking (like the two guys I mentioned above) their videos have that special editing in there, and I haven't figured out yet how to do that?

I've made my first one - my ID there is zul32 on youtube.
I'll try to put the link on it here too - check it out and feel free to rate & post comments. Again, it's just my FIRST video made. Oh, and the Windows Movie Maker is a snap! I highly recommend it to everyone.

Thanks, you are so right.  In fact the fellow who went with us from Nashville Tenn. always makes sure that he is in our truck when we get to Virginia early, because he knows that we will be visiting a historical area. 

Hopefully we are going to Washington DC sometime and see the sights there.  From Culpeper Va. where we always stay, it's only an hour train ride. But doggone it, everytime we have tried to make that trip, we always find a neat place to metal detect and DC gets put on the back burner.  LOL
