Yep that woulnd't happen over here detecting in a cemetery if you got caught a posse might get you and string you up .  even around a war memorial would be a bit tricky

rule #1 --mo digging in known burial areas aka as :graveyards"--folks will think your a grave robber , wiether you are or are not one --will be besides the point -- the image in their mind will be "set" --digs in graveyards = grave robber --no ifs ands or buts --   the cops of course will also take a dim veiw of this of they become involved --is a silver oillar worth be labeled a "grave robber" for life ? -- so digging in / close by graveyatds --just say "no"

Lot's of good stuff around old grave yards and old church yards.  I was hunting an old church site in cnetral Fl and found a five dollar gold coin, now that's worth the time and effort.  I agree, I would never hunt the graves but the dirt roads make for some good hunting.

All depends on how you look at things.  The so called scientists that broke into King Tuts tomb took a little of that loot for themselves.  Could you call that Grave Robbing.  Or is it okay if it is in the name of SCIENCE.  Or is there a statute of limitation on Graves.  Indiana Jones was a Grave Robber too huh?  Here's something to contemplate.  If murder has no statute of limitations...how old do the bones have to be before you call an Anthropologist instead of the Police?  Someone give me an aspirin my head hurts.
