Go Up Go Down

Got up late today,10;15 a.m. due to the dogs barking at 3am. Got up to see what there barking about looked out and saw cops all over the place. I knew what was up. We live across the street from a fert-a-lizer plant and kids go there at nite to try and steal ant-hide-rous for making meth I guess. It pays to have a good watch dogs! A couple years ago this very same thing happened. I looked out the door in the middle of the nite to see cops all over the front yard. I opened the door and asked whats up? Officer told me to go back in the house and he'd come explan later. Also asked me if my dogs bite. At that time I said I don't know? I just got um the day before so I put them in the grarge. After a bit the officer came to tell me kids where trying to steal stuff from the plant. Said one ran  this way. He asked me if my keys where in any of our vehicles and if my shop was locked? I said, not sure and don't know? Well the keys where in one of the trucks and I had left the shop door unlocked. He said one of the kids may have hidden in the shop? I went out and started to open the door when the officer grabed my arm and  said no...stand back in case he's in there. But frist asked before he intered, if I had anymore man-i-qiuns? I starting laughing so hard... I said yes, matter of fact theres one just inside the door. See...I had a man-i-qiun in the garden looking like she was watering the garden. I could just see a rookie seeing that maniqiun and pulling his pistol out and shooting my maniquin. So, He intered the shop but no-one was there. He said he was going to leave a patrol car in the drive though-out the nite to watch for the dude. They caught the guy walking out onto the highway a mile down the road, walking out of the corn field. The plant was built after we lived here or we would'nt of built here.  Moral of my story....get a maniqiun and a good watch dog. Even a rookie cop can't tell the differance in the dark of the nite!!

Aren't most tanks diesel powered? Must make the fields stink.

I'm pretty sure these tanks are pressurized. See all those little like pill capsule look'in things under the huge silo's? Just like a 1000 gallon propane tank on wheels. Diesel smell does however come from the tractors that pull um in the fields around us when the wind is just right. Can't afford to move nor want to sence my wifes parents home-steaded the place 100 years ago. We keep the windows shut!

I live in rural farmland area and at least 5 times a year if not more their are arrests made on people trying
to steal anhydrous to make meth.
Years ago a farmer was knifing in anhydrous in the field when one of his lines started to leak spilling anthydrous
into the air.He got out of the tracktor to shut the valve off on the tank.Bad move,he inhaled the gas and down he
went.He was found laying in the field, rushed him to the hospital where he barely survived.
The very next year you guest it,the same thing happened again with the same farmer and the results were the same, the farmer barely survived again.
That stuff will kill you STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!! If you ever see it leaking get up wind from it and keep going away from it.
Yes its money leaking into the air but its not worth losing your life for...

Anthydrous has to be knifed in the ground,it can not be sprayed in the air,it can kill if inhaled.
Not sure about what the planes are spraying but I would guess it some type of weed killer or fertilizer.
If you even get a little anthydrous in your face you will know it.
