I personally have never had the experience of ghostly being interference-so I wouldn't be able to say yay or nay about this spook business. I'd be interested in hearing about anything otherworldly that the members have experienced or heard about.

Very good question, which I, personally, do not believe, but would hesitate to discourage (or try to) some one else,s belief.
I am not sure if it is ghosts, elders or Gaia.... some believe that what goes back to the earth, should stay there.... or, you need to make offerings to the earth, or elders, or ghosts, if you want the treasure.
I can only suggest there is something to it, what ever it is, and for those that believe, it can be very strong.
I, as an amateur herbologist, was told, long ago, to leave an offering for plants collected, also when hunting, leave an offering of thanks, to the spirit of the animal one has shot. So, I am assuming the treasure *guardians* are similar, as these beliefs seem to have a world-wide similarity.
Actually, I never heard of a treasure found where the spirits were refused and something bad happened. Evidence is equally absent, either way.
Maybe that old saw applies: when in Rome.....
