THE ADVENTURES OF THE Chevalier De La Salle AND HIS COMPANIONS

by John S. C. Abbott

This tantalizing narrative about the journeys of the legendary French explorer De La Salle will fascinate anyone interested in the passage of the Europeans into the area west of the Appalachian mountains from Quebec down to what is now New Orleans.

The expeditions, taking place in the 1600s, are accurately reported and liberally sprinkled with first person accounts of the travels of the expedition.

Traveling by foot and birch bark canoe, this is the stuff of legends.

This eBook will run under Windows and Mac, with the x86 software installed.

It's all about that magical moment of discovery when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hey GD,
I wanted to download and it warned that this type of file "could" harm my computer and since it's not my computer I didn't dare. My great great... grand parents 10  Kiss and 11th generation were from France and came to Quebec, Levy in 1652(Jean Guay)  I'd like to read this story...would be interesting to show my son who is 15...help him get more interested in history. Always nice to know where you come from.  It'd be nice knowing where we're going.
God bless and take care and keep reading. Gin1111

Excellent book, GD.   Thanks for posting it.   The man died mere miles from my alma mater.  The Navasota river bottom is definitely on my to hunt list when I get a chance.
