Hello , A tough choice to make !!! Both are each companies "Top-of the-Line" machine . I did some research and found out these detectors are very close in depth tests . The T2 has more Iron-Rejection range . The F75 has a backlight the T2 does not . The Teknetics T2 is $799. U.S. dollars and the Fisher F75 is $999. U.S. Dollars . If you do decide to buy the Teknetics T2 , before you buy the T2 , turn it on and make sure it has the latest software version 6.0 showing on the screen , it has the upgrade on the discrimination !! ...........Anyone else , Please let us know what you think of each and which one you think is better for the money !!

Thanks.................Best Regards................Eugene52

I missed a like new T2 on Ebay not too long ago and I'm still kicking myself over it. It went for somewhere around 340.00 with a nice set of headphones and free shipping. Dang It!!!

I've heard good and bad about both of them, but that's common to all detectors I've researched. I also read somewhere that some people prefer the machine prior to the software upgrade, but that might just be a relic hunter thing.

I still use a 1266 Fisher, but wouldn't mind either of these when I upgrade, but I'm looking for the most bang for my buck, and a used T2 would fit the bill if I ever see another deal like the one I missed.

Mike

Well, it seems from thise tests than they are NOT identical, and that the Fisher version is better.

Those tests were made in Belgium with typical relic-hunting targets.

I'm no pro, but what i've read on both machines, same detecters - different color, different software mainly (t2 w/o notch, etc). Myself I would prefer the t2 for the price, but f75 has more extras.

If this helps any, most of what I've read in the UK about these two agree that the F75 is better for use in the USA due to the coin differences, whereas the T2 is more suited to UK-specific detecting. Which is nice for me because it's cheaper!

Hello Again . Even though this field test here favors the F75 . I would purchase the Teknetics T2 , it is two hundred dollars cheaper !! Actually , it is not a very big difference in depth . Also I read the Teknetics has better noise canceling ? Yesterday someone on the forum said the F75 had trouble in an area of buried coal deposits . So maybe for both models use a smaller search coil in bad soil . Me personally I would go with the "T2" . See if you can find any T2 field tests in the UK . Others a welcome to comment here .

The price of gold has sparked a huge gold rush in Sudan. The two most popular detectors out there are the Minelab GPX 4500 and the TEK T 2. It seems the T 2 is not only a great all around detector, but it seems to be very versatile as it is excellent for locating meteorites, relics and most importantly raw gold. Reportedly a HUGE 89 ounce nugget was found by one of these. There was such a huge demand from Sudan, after this big find, that it created a huge shortage of T 2's. From what we hear, a lot of people literally made fortunes overnight.
