I knew there was a reason why Harris county wasn't my favorite county in Texas.   I hope you guys can get this reversed.....otherwise things will probably go down hill in a lot of other Texas counties.

      It might be a good idea to remind them how much (and what type) of dangerous trash we typically remove from tot lots in the process of hunting.   
      Those who want to shut us down accuse us of stealing history and destroying the pristine grass.   Part of our counter effort needs to be getting the word out on what we do positive (at no cost to the government) every time we hunt.

I sent my commissioner an email. I got a call from the parks dept head. He said it all boiled down to the fact that anything picked up in a park belongs to the county. But he also told me that if his employees find a quarter on the ground they would stick it in their pocket and not turn it in the his office. I politely thanked him for the call and informed him my letter was to my commissioner not the parks dept head for a reason and there was nothing he could do about the law. It had to be the commissioner therefore her having him call me instead of addressing my questions herself showed me how much she thought of the issue.
