Find out where their "old" city/town dump was, the city park there is good, then look for the old houses & homesteads along 45. Around the old stock pens by the old RR depot should be productive as would be the depot itself and around the existing schools AND where the old schools used to be. I used to live in Dallas and know the area a lil bit.

Good Hunting!

Check with the city and county government web pages to see if the city and county parks are off-limits.   If they aren't those should be good spots---especially around Baylor.   Also read through some of the old papers or the local history books and see if you can find out where the swimming holes on the Brazos and its tributaries were.   While your looking there look for revivals or festivals and try to figure out where they were held....if it's still vacant land and you can get permission, you should have good hunting.

I know of a really good spot down by the brazos its the area the waco vfw uses for their party s it would be great except that there is a lock on the gate. I have been all around camron park and know one seems to bother you there. I will check out the different city web pages and see what they have to say thank you for your help

Cheesy Grin the area around the vfw park would be a great place since they hold quite a few parties every year

Have you thought about going to Marlin??  My wife told me that when she was a little girl, she remembers right after the invented dirt, alot of people would go to Marlin to the Spa. As best as she can remember, it was some king of sulphur spring that people would bathe in. She doesn't remember where it was, but she says it would draw people in from all over. Best of luck,

Bill
