Hi TH hunters,   Beautiful fall sunrise but chilly 40's . I remembered an old house ...circa 1840's , what's left of it "see pic" , next to the Yankee camp I searched 6 months ago.  The site is all grown up and somewhat difficult but the great news is no ticks and chiggers . Posted are some pics of the site , two of the trash pit items still left from my last visit . Clay crocks and broken bottles . First dig was a broken crotal bell . Then the 1265 X went into it's we are digging big iron because mode . I found some interesting iron hand tools that need ID. Two sharps 3 ringers , small gold plated ring , a silver ring , rivets , 3 buckles ,one still has a piece of leather intact , complete brass clasp , pewter spoon handle , copper spoon piece , tent grommets , assorted flat buttons , 3 general staff eagle coat buttons , and an 1857 flying eagle cent ... Looks like it has a lot of detail under the dirt . Very nice conditions and finally scored some Nov. finds .   Thanks for stopping in ,  CMDdawg    Mike

The cent is worth some money. The rings are valuable for being so old. Keep digging, pretty sure more goodies are awaiting you there  Great

it's like your own little time capsule waiting to be revealed.
do you have a plan, like mapping the site or gridding it, or just detecting where you can?

thanks for sharing the excitment.
