I found this 1910 English half penny on a beach near Invercargill, New Zealand.  The "Kiwi's got their own currency and British coin ceased to be legal tender as of 1st of February 1935.

I don't think it washed ashore.  I found it in some dunes about 250 feet from the water.  English money was used till about 1935 so it could have been lost by a beach goer.

Looks like it might have been in good condition when lost. Find some Brit coins here also in Canada sometimes all left over from colonial times I suppose...
