I found this 20 lbs US Civil War arty shell 5 years ago.
if both photos are there the one taken of the nose shows the hole I had to drill into the fuse as it was live.

One of my greatest finds!!!

4 inches..in a very small area near "Hoke Trench"..I have it's drive band also..found 3 feet away..in that area the water table is only a few inches below the surface..the area was 20 feet by 15 feet,,also found lots of ball frags and bits...the rest of the area is built over.
