Hit the beach for an hour after work and managed to pluck out the ring below out of the sand.  Only 9 ct and 2.73 grams so not worth much but I'm partial to the design and like it. 

You read from other postings and articles about the hundreds of pieces that get lost every summer but I always thought that it wouldn't apply to the ones in my area.  Yet nearly everyday I'm being stopped by somebody who wants to tell me about a piece of jewelry being lost on one or the other beaches I hunt on. Coming to realise that it doesn't matter where in the world you are - if people frequent a beach or area they will loose their jewelry.

That is a nice ring, gold is always great to find. I can't hardly wait until it warms up around here, i'm more than ready to get out for digging.
