Go Up Go Down

Hey guys,

1st post of my finds, nothing to jump up and down about. I took my 16 year old son, it was his first time. We hit the beach around 7:30 PM and left at around 9:30. We were on the wrong side of the pier, where most people don't hang out, but it was closest to where we parked. It was a beautiful evening though. We spent a lot of time together that day, so it was something new for us to try together. We hit a silver nickel and two Roosevelt Dimes, not silver though.  Went all metal mode and dug everything....

Thanks,

Barrett

Yea, it was fun and I learned a little more about my detector. One thin I noticed was things were coming up 2-3" shallower than indicated at the beach, which is always nice. I have a trip planned to Palm Springs next weekend, so I am going to try and find a ghost town or two out near that area to do a little MD work in. Worst case, there is always the open desert and trying my luck at some meteorite hunting!

Thanks,

Barrett

Frist and formost in my book, theres nothing like spending time with your son and teaching him the wonderful hobby of detecting some folks even make a career out of. Those finds? One piece there looks like what I get all the time. screwed!!!   Grin

LOL. Yea, find wise I was a little screwed, but as mentioned, removed some trash from the beach and got to spend time with my rapidly growing up son. I think I will hi the volleyball areas at the beach tonight...

Ok, please tell me how i can make a career out of this, I would love to do that! I have been racking my brain to see how I can start working for myself again, even been playing with the idea of writing screenplays. Would love to look into this (detecting for living) further.

Thanks!

Barrett

Nice finds there, thats how to find the good stuff, dig it all. Any of those signals could have been a good gold diamond ring. WTG.....DW
